Monnickendam is Amsterdam's backyard and is located in the beautiful Waterland, it offers a rural, green and water-rich life just 15 minutes by car from the capital.

Layout: entrance on the ground floor and meter cupboard, carpeted floors and covered stairs to the first floor. Here is a spacious, bright living-dining room on the street side with large windows with fantastic views of the harbor of Monnickendam.Adjacent to the living room is a modern, open and well-equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer combination (2024), built-in dishwasher, stand-alone gas stove with oven + separate microwave.

In the hall there is a separate toilet, the spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower and a separate, spacious laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

At the rear are the 2 spacious bedrooms (1 with a double bed, the other with a single bed) with plenty of cupboard space for hanging clothes, both with access to the unique, spacious and sunny roof terrace of 40m2 (!) facing south.

The 2nd floor is accessible via a staircase, where there is another bedroom with a double bed and a spacious attic (total 35m2). Here you will find plenty of space for all your items that you don't need on a daily basis and there is also the almost new central heating boiler.

The house can be rented for a maximum of 2 years, including a cleaner for 4 hours once a month and excluding an advance payment for gas/water/electricity/internet to be determined (contract with Essent + Ziggo  runs through the landlord)

Location:
The city center of Monnickendam has a harbour, several nice shops, cafés, terraces and good restaurants, including the Michelin-starred restaurant De Posthoorn. Every Saturday there is a pleasant weekly market at Noordeinde.
Monnickendam is surrounded by meadows and is located on the Gouwzee, a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, with three marinas and the Hemmeland recreational area with several sandy beaches and the cozy beach pavilion Strandvier.
All this within 15 minutes by car and bus from Amsterdam. Public transport is well organized with the express bus to Amsterdam North with its Metro North/South line and there are night buses.
